Lev Evgrafov (1934-2021) - cellist and professor. A laureate of national and international competitions, he combined an intensive performance career with dedicated teaching.
Music critics from various countries consistently praised Evgrafov's playing for its profound expressiveness and vivid interpretation, virtuosity, refined sense of style, and deep musical erudition. After his concerts in 1992, the Swiss newspaper Vorderland called him a “great master” and a “flawless diamond.”
