Subcollection: Guitar Music FIRST WORLD RECORDING
This is a unique recording. It contains the first world recording of the two “Concerto a cinco” by Adam Falckenhagen for lute (guitar) and string quartet. Wonderful original music for this baroque combination, a good alternative to the already exhausted and over recorded versions of Vivaldi’s not original guitar “concertos”.
To complete this option another rare and beautiful suite of “Interludes” by Moreno Torroba for solo guitar and string quartet. The complete series. Never seen in CD before or after this recording. The only and the best. |

Subcollection: Guitar Music FIRST WORLD RECORDING
Agustín Maruri has done a major work in the rediscovery of the music by Adam Falckenhagen. In his record catalogue we find the complete opus 4 , the flute concerts, the two lute concerts and now he presents the first world recording of the complete sonates opus I. Again an adition to the repertoire. The Bach lute suites or the music by Weiss have a serious competitor with this CD. Falckenhagen’s music is easy to hear and very generous in its richness and quality. |
