Released to mark the anniversary of the 1897 Stockholm Exhibition, these works are truly monumental in scale, written by a composer whose severe self-criticism resulted in him writing very little. There are some stunningly written choral sections with a near Shostakovichian sense of drama in the Exhibition Cantata - which is seldom heard and played. This is supposedly one of the biggest recordings ever made in Sweden.
