Das Weihnachtsfest wird seit vielen Jahrhunderten in allen Teilen der Erde begangen und diese Tradition hat die vielleicht schönsten und beständigsten Volkslieder hervorgebracht. So unterschiedlich wie die Kulturen ist auch diese CD. Da geht es vom bekannten "Es ist ein Ros entsprungen" über Sizilien ("O sanctissima" - "O du fröhliche") nach Trinidad und von der Gregorianik über die Renaissance bis zur Weihnachtsmotette vom Thomaskantor Erhard Mauersberger (1903-1982). "In adventu Domini" enthält Advents- und Weihnachtssätze aus über einem halben Jahrtausend, darunter echte Perlen, die es nicht nur allein dadurch sind, dass sie auf keiner anderen Weihnachts-CD zu finden sind. Und natürlich begeistert das Vokalensemble amarcord aus Leipzig wieder mit seinem unvergleichlichen Sound! |
